About CODECS

CODECS was founded in 1993 to specifically meet the market’s needs of adult managerial training. CODECS uses a modern and efficient training method – distance education, method taken from one of the biggest universities in the world that offers courses using it – The Open University from Great Britain; thus CODECS becomes the supplier of the MBA program offered by the British university. Strictly abiding the quality standards required by the Open University is the main condition of CODECS’ license contract.
As an answer to the evolution of the Romanian economical environment, and to fulfill the organizational personnel training necessities, CODECS developed new products – personalized training programs and managerial consultancy. The training programs are created to adapt to the organizations’ needs, in both content and learning methods and the adaptation of the difficulty level of concepts to the participants’ level of preparation, the learning process being based on a partnership-type relationship.
Starting with 1998 the CODECS’ activity was diversified by editing business books.
Starting with the spring of 2000 the CODECS programs diversified by adding a new Open University course – Project Management.
Due to the consistency of the mission and values taken on since the beginning, CODECS is today a leader in Romania in delivering integrated solutions to academic, professional and consultancy knowledge.
CODECS is an active member of the European Distance Education Network - EDEN (starting with 1994), of the International Council for Distance Education - ICDE (starting with 1994) and, from August 2001, of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). Furthermore it is a member of the Romanian Human Resource Foundation, of the National Training Suppliers Association (ANTRA) and of the Romanian Association for the Electronic and Software Industry (ARIES).
