Description

This course presents many technical concepts involved in both voice and data networking. It is designed for individuals new to
telecommunications industry, new to a position or in non-technical positions who wish to develop a basic understanding of the “how and why” of voice and data communications systems, network and terminology.

Objectives

To comprehend the fundamentals of voice , data and video communications technology
Study the components voice networks, such as carrier switches , Routing, PBX’s,T1 trunks
Study the components of data networks such as modems , virtual circuits , hubs,switches and routers
Learn about technologies such as Frame Relay , ATM,MLPS, Ethernet and TCP/IP
Explore voice, data and video convergence with “triple play” and “quad play”

• Basic Voice Telephony
• Backbone and Access Circuits
• Introduction to Data Networking
• Local Area Networks ( LAN)
• Network Convergence: The future of Voice , Data and Video.

Delivery Type

The training is scheduled for 2 days and is instructor led.
One day is divided in two modules of 3 hours each.
