Terms like ‘investment”, “work”, etc., were used instead of “project”, which was practically represented by any firm activity: building construction, computer network and telecommunication network construction, digital telephone exchanges, marketing activities, mainly promoting a new product on the market, implementing a new information solution, opening a new work station,… Basically we were following, without knowing, the achievement goals of Project Management …But what was missing? The adequate management of projects… basically, an efficient and well structured organization of activities.CODECS came at a very opportune moment, when I was in an ascending development stage. Through the Project Management course they said that I brought "added value" to the total cost of “investments". I already had a project in its finalization stage so, together with the CODECS tutor, through LNTs, I succeeded in forming my practical side of my "Project manager" position. I honestly can say that, due to this course, I acquired the necessary skills to work in an organized fashion, and I started involving more resources and organizing work meetings in order to better analyze the project’s evolvement, filling reports for the managerial team and keeping them up to date with project implementation status.I do not want to quote classical statements from the Project Management course. I simply started working "by the book" and the results are seen after on-time project completion, following the initial project and the initial forecasted costs (that are, often times, even lower).
I attended the DPMP program from Codecs between October 2019 and January 2020, at a time when I was already managing projects using Agile methodologies, but I wanted to build a complete and logical project management framework, from waterfall to agile. The course provided exactly the solid foundation I was looking for.
What impressed me the most was the practical applicability and the real-life examples shared by the trainer, Marian Oprea. It wasn’t just theory – every concept was illustrated with concrete situations from real projects, which helped me understand not only the “what”, but also the “how” and the “why” behind project management.
The certification preparation bootcamp was extremely useful and also created valuable connections with colleagues from various industries, enriching the learning experience through the exchange of different perspectives.
The impact on my career has been significant: today I manage projects much more efficiently, I have gained strong confidence in my project management skills, and this certification helped me transition first into a Senior Project Manager role and later into a Program Manager position. The logical structure I gained allows me to approach any type of project with confidence, regardless of the methodology used.
I highly recommend this program to everyone – from beginners in project management, to professionals who want to formalize their knowledge, as well as managers looking for a recognized certification. It is the right investment for anyone who wants to advance their career and strengthen their project management skills.
