Module 1 - What It consists the supply chain?

Module 1 sets the constitutive characteristics of supply chain and examines reasons why industry practices currently moving towards a deeper involvement in the total product life cycle ("from product creation to end-of-life processing "), in what is called total system product . You will study some key conceptual issues that will contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of this topic.


Module 2 - Inter-organizational dynamics

Module 2 aims the nature of the relationships between the many organizations linked in a supply chain as an essential element for the overall performance of the chain as a determinant of success or failure in competition against other chains. Module 2 explores multiple dimensions of these inter-organizational relationships, illustrating them through various examples taken from practice.


Module 3 - Strategy and practice in organization

Survival capacity of organizations in a supply chain which creates a demanding environment with rapid changes depend on how well they manage the managers and employees to understand their categories this environment, as alternative approaches that may be - or not be - relevant. Also, the survival of the organization depends on the willingness of its members to question the old conceptions and methods of work. You will examine the way you can make the connection between the external challenges and the need for internal changes to be critically analyzed and carried out.


Module 4 - New models and  competing models


Predominant models that apply to new practices in supply chains usually reflects the approach taken in very large companies trying to set up practices in the entire chain. Module 4 examines some of the objections to the practices of large companies, some alternative approaches that could be applied, in particular, specific aspects that have to do small and medium enterprises (the SMEs). Situations are considered both in developed countries and in the developing.
