Description
This course presents technical concepts involved in GSM. It is designed for individuals having a bachelor of science in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or background in communication engineering.
Objectives
To be able to identify the components of a GSM network and the protocols that allow them to communicate with each other
Evaluate and compare solutions to specific problems within the rules set forth by GSM
To understand the GSM structures and articulate their interactions
To be able to identify good design and optimization strategies as well as performance problems and solution approaches.

- GSM TDMA Structures on the RF Carrier
- The End-to-End Digital Path
- GSM speech Coding
- GSM Error Control Coding
- Layer 2 and Layer 3 Message Structures
- Evolutionary Path of GSM.

The training is scheduled for 4-5 days depending on audience background and options and is instructor led
One day is divided in two modules of 3 hours each.
