FITT Certified International Trade Professional


What is a FITT Certified International Trade Professional (FITT – CITP)?
The FITT – CITP designation recognizes those professionals who have demonstrated practical skills in all aspects of international business. A minimum experience of one year in international business, combined with meeting the educational requirements is required to be eligible for the certification program, and a CITP must adhere to the Standards of Ethical Conduct.

The FITT – CITP designation incorporates all areas of international trade business: the global business environment, international sales and marketing, international trade research, international trade finance, global supply chain management, international market entry strategies, legal aspects of international trade, and international trade management.

What are the eligibility requirements for the FITT – CITP designation?
Individuals interested in applying for the FITT – CITP designation must meet the following eligibility requirements:
 
  • Complete the educational requirements by achieving the FITT Diploma
  • Complete or prove a minimum of one year, full-time, international trade work experience
  • Agree to the Standards of Ethical Conduct
  • Pay the annual dues and maintain membership in good standing (Payment for first year will not be taken until application process is complete)
  • Engage in ongoing professional development
